Publishing Committee - Chairpersons: Erik Gilbert (Coup d'Etat Records)and Richard Stumpf (Cherry Lane Publishing)
Our objective is to relay to the independent community issues that affect publishers and labels. We hope that through communicating creative, legal, and marketing matters, the publishing and label groups could move towards a more unified, productive front. From understanding whom to contact at which publishing organizations for which, or working with a publisher on creative showcases, this committee is intended to bridge the gap between indie publishers and indie labels.
Radio Committee - Chairperson: Daniel Glass (Glassnote Records)
The Radio Committee's goals are to create a level playing field, provide access to commercial radio programmers for Independent music, and get terrestrial radio to better represent consumer demand.
Awards Committee - Co-Chairs: Jochen Becker (Zoho Music) and Lesley Bleakley (Beggars Group)
The Awards Committee was founded to increase Independents' share of existing awards and to create our own awards for the Independent community
Legal Committee - Chairpersons: Christian Castle (Attorney) and Roger Cramer (Selverne, Mandelbaum & Mintz)
The A2IM Legal Committee is comprised of attorneys from the membership who advise the board on a variety of legal matters.
International Committee - Chairperson: Bob Frank (Koch Entertainment)
Membership Committee - Chairperson: Glenn Morrow (Bar None Records)
The Membership committee seeks to grow membership in A2IM by building regional chapters, planning events around those chapters as well as around events like Midem, CMJ SXSW and NARM. The committee works closely with membership director Jim Mahoney setting priorities and targets for both label and AMP members. A goal for the next fiscal year is to increase membership by 50%. Another goal is to have functioning chapters in New York, Nashville, Chicago, Texas, Florida, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. Through the chapters we hope to develop a vibrant outreach program to labels of all-genres offering, informal get-togethers, speakers and educational opportunities as well as time to meet Amp members.
Legislative Committee - Chairpersons: Evan Burr (Loudmouth Records) and David Macias (Thirty Tigers)
Our objectives are to help further any legislative effort on behalf of the independent community, and to act as an interface for other groups and organizations currently spearheading such efforts.
